The Lab Works Festival returns with six theatre works-in-development across two programmes from our MA Theatre Lab students. Come and experience a range of original performance, experimenting with ideas, practices and forms, in a Laboratory theatre environment.

Who are we when we lose control of our actions?
As the lines between love, power and control start to shift, small cracks appear. Things repeat. Behaviour changes. Memories don’t quite match. Stories unravel. A love you’re not ready to lose.
One flat. Two people. One relationship. Someone has to be in control.
404: not found is a new play which explores relationships. Co-written by Philippine Lazare and Filip Lazov under the mentorship of Yael Shavit, Dan Sherer and Paul Sirett.

Egrets, I’ve had a few…
Two men sit, waiting for birdsong. High rises construct themselves. Cement hardens around a pair of wings. ‘The Best Thing I Can Do…’ is a physical, tender, and at times silly exploration of the things almost said and the birds almost seen.
A special thanks to Bill Oddie and the legion of gentle, grumpy men upon whose binoculars we stand.
