Technique Workshops: Meisner
Explore Meisner technique in this detailed introductory 2-day course for actors. Meisner Technique is a unique training form that teaches actors to respond to stimuli and develop observation and active listening. You will discover the simplicity of ‘acting truthfully under given circumstances' through voice, movement and scene study exercises, and gain a greater understanding of this technique.
Please note this is not an introduction to acting; participants need to have some experience of acting training. The Meisner technique can make participants feel emotionally sensitive as it requires a degree of openness, however the technique asks actors to use their imagination, rather than real-life experiences, to inform emotional responses. We are committed to cultivating a supportive learning environment in our classes.
