Short Courses: Which level is right for me?
Beginner
For anyone at the start of their acting journey, or simply wanting to try something new. Whether you haven’t acted since school, are new to a subject area, or never held a script, our Beginner level courses will help you get to grips with the essentials and build your confidence. We have people of all ages join our Beginners courses.
Some Experience
For those who have already had some exposure to acting through workshops, short courses, amateur productions or rehearsal settings. Courses at this level are designed to help you build on the basics, develop your confidence and strengthen your understanding of key acting techniques. You will continue to explore character, text and performance in a supportive environment while developing your skills as a performer.

Intermediate
For those with a solid foundation in acting who are comfortable working with text, rehearsing scenes and receiving direction. You may have completed several acting courses, participated in productions, or have ongoing acting training. Courses at this level assume knowledge of fundamental acting techniques and focus on applying them in greater depth. You will explore more complex character work, text analysis and performance challenges, while refining your craft and developing greater independence as an actor.
Mixed
The participants of mixed level courses will have a range of experiences and abilities, from professional working actors to those at the start of their acting journey. Our expert tutors will modify exercises and choose scenes tailored to each participant's training needs, and you’ll get the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by a range of people.
Advanced
Our advanced courses are suitable for people with considerable experience of acting, whether through professional work, higher education training or sustained engagement in acting classes, including short courses. Many of these courses will require you to submit an application form or self-tape audition to ensure that you have the required amount of experience and understanding.
