This five-day course offers an introduction to RADA's approach to actor training. Through practical classes in acting and text analysis, you will explore techniques developed by Sanford Meisner, Michael Chekhov and Uta Hagen, applying them to both scenes and monologues. The course provides a foundation in the core skills of acting and is suitable for anyone interested in developing their practice. No previous experience is required.

Over five days, you will work on scenes and monologues of increasing complexity, developing a practical approach to text analysis, rehearsal and performance. Drawing on the techniques of Stanislavski, Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner, you will explore process, deepen your understanding of character and make clear, specific acting choices. Over two weeks, you will develop your stage and screen practice through an intensive programme of scene and monologue work.
