Over five days, you will work on scenes and monologues of increasing complexity, developing a practical approach to text analysis, rehearsal and performance. Drawing on the techniques of Stanislavski, Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner, you will explore process, deepen your understanding of character and make clear, specific acting choices. You will also develop your screen acting skills, applying these techniques to camera-based performance and gaining insight into the different demands of acting for screen. Over two weeks, you will develop your stage and screen practice through an intensive programme of scene and monologue work. Drawing on the techniques of Sanford Meisner, Michael Chekhov and Uta Hagen, you will apply a range of approaches to contemporary and classical texts, developing confidence, flexibility and precision in your work.
