The winners of the 2019 Olivier Awards have been announced, and we are thrilled that three RADA graduates have won awards in the acting categories.

Mirroring the results of the Critics' Circle Awards earlier this year, Kyle Soller won Best Actor for playing the lead role of Eric in The Inheritance, which premiered at the Young Vic before transferring to the West End; while Patsy Ferran won Best Actress for playing Alma in Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke, which also played in the West End after a run at the Almeida Theatre.

The Inheritance, which also featured graduates Hubert Burton, Syrus Lowe, Jack Riddiford and Michael Walters, won four awards in total including Best New Play. Summer and Smoke, whose cast also included graduate Tok Stephen, also won Best Revival.

2018 graduate Chris Walley was also a winner, taking home the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in The Lieutenant of Inishmore in the West End last summer, his professional stage debut.

Also nominated on the night were graduates Adam Gillen, Jonathan Hyde, Fly Davis and Sophie Okonedo.

Congratulations to Kyle, Patsy and Chris! You can see the full list of winners on the Olivier Awards website.
