Deryk Cropper

Deryk trained at Rose Bruford College in technical theatre arts and in his second year specialised in prop-making. After graduating he joined the National Theatre props department to further his understanding and practical knowledge of the craft

A good prop maker needs to be proficient in a huge variety of materials and techniques, which are constantly evolving and changing in response to the challenges of the industry. Deryk derives great satisfaction from overseeing the student journey into what, for many, becomes an exciting and fulfilled career choice with many employment pathways.
