We are honoured to announce that this week Buckingham Palace has confirmed His Majesty King Charles III will take up the Royal Patronage of RADA.

'RADA is delighted to welcome His Majesty King Charles III as our Royal Patron. His support underscores our commitment to nurturing talent and excellence in the performing arts, as we continue to inspire and empower the next generation of actors and creators.' Niamh Dowling, RADA Principal.

The announcement follows a review from the Palace of all Patronages of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who was Patron of RADA from when she ascended to the throne in 1952 until her death in 2022.

The news coincides with the first anniversary of Their Majesties’ Coronation.

Members of the Royal Family engage with and support their Patronages in many ways, such as attending events to thank staff, supporters and volunteers, visiting sites and sending messages to mark major events and milestones.
