RADA Secures Arts Council England Funding for Shakespeare Access and Participation programme
RADA has successfully secured National Lottery Project Grant funding from Arts Council England for Shakespeare for Young Audiences, one of our key access and participation programmes.
The programme will work with nine state schools in areas of high deprivation, reaching over 1000 students aged 13–16. Through a combination of live performances, workshops and visits to RADA, the project aims to make Shakespeare accessible, engaging and relevant for young people who may not otherwise experience theatre.
Alongside performances, students will take part in practical sessions and gain insight into a wider range of creative careers, including technical theatre and stage management.
This funding will enable RADA to continue its longstanding commitment to widening participation and ensuring that access to high-quality arts experiences is not limited by background or circumstance.
Thank you to Arts Council England and National Lottery players for their supporting in continuing to make this work possible.
