RADA graduates win at Emmy Awards 2026
RADA is delighted to congratulate graduates Matthew Rhys and Kate O'Flynn, along with former summer school student Allison Janney, on their success at last night's Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
Matthew Rhys enjoyed a historic evening, winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow's Bay and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Beast in Me. His double triumph made Emmy history, with Rhys becoming the first actor to win two lead acting awards in the same year.
Fellow RADA graduate Kate O'Flynn was recognised with the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in Widow's Bay, which was one of the night's biggest winners.
Allison Janney received the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in The Diplomat, marking the eighth Emmy Award of her distinguished career.
Everyone at RADA extends their warmest congratulations to Matthew, Kate and Allison on these outstanding achievements.
