Recent RADA graduate Miriam Dheva-Aksorn who graduated in 2025, has been named one of twelve recipients of the Linbury Prize for Stage Design 2025, the UK’s leading award celebrating emerging talent in theatre design.

Miriam was awarded the prize as her work as a designer on shows at RADA including Journey's End (pictured).

The Linbury Prize offers a vital launchpad for early-career designers, providing recipients with national recognition, professional mentorship, and financial support. Each winner receives a bursary and a placement with an established designer, offering valuable experience within the professional production process.

The work of all twelve recipients will be showcased at The Linbury Prize Exhibition, opening Tuesday 2 December 2025, which celebrates the next generation of stage designers shaping the future of British theatre.

Founded in 1987 by Lady Anya Sainsbury, the Linbury Prize has supported over 200 emerging designers across the UK and remains the only nationwide award dedicated to stage design.

Applications for the 2025 prize were open to UK graduates from theatre design degree or postgraduate courses (graduating in 2024 or 2025), as well as to early-career designers within their first three years of professional practice.
