RADA film wins international festival prize
Following screenings at several international short film festivals, RADA short film Prodigal has won Best International Short at the SENE Film Festival in Rhode Island.
Written by Ursula Rani Sarma, the film was directed by Edward Hicks and features RADA acting graduates from 2017 Katie Buchholz, Ralph Davis, Michael Balogun, Liam Jefford and Eleanor de Rohan.
As with all our RADA short films, it also included the work of many theatre production students., working behind the camera in production management, costume department, art department and sound.
The film has also been shown at the River Bend Film Festival in Indiana, Dam Short Film Festival in Nevada, and Lichtspielklub Short Film Festival of British Shorts in Berlin.
You can watch this year's short films at the RADA Festival. A special screening takes place on Wednesday 4 July in the Jerwood Vanbrugh Theatre, followed by a Q&A with some of this year's scriptwriters. Tickets are just £5 and are on sale now.
