Jessie Buckley and Wunmi Mosaku win BAFTAs
Huge congratulations to RADA Graduates Jessie Buckley and Wunmi Mosaku, for their wins at the BAFTAs on Sunday 22 February 2026.
Jessie Buckley won the Best Actress award for her performance as Agnes in in Chloé Zhao’s adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet. She has won the Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and IFTA Best Actress awards and has been nominated for an Oscar for her performance as the wife of William Shakespeare, described as “nothing short of a wonder” by the Guardian.
Jessie Buckley graduated from RADA in 2013. She was nominated as a BAFTA Rising Star in 2019 and is celebrated for her performances in Wild Rose, Women Talking, and Wicked Little Letters.
Wunmi Mosaku won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Hoodoo priestess Annie in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, a critically acclaimed performance described as the film’s “emotional centre”. She has been nominated for an Oscar, Actor Award, and Critics’ Choice Award for her performance, and the cast of Sinners won the Critics’ Choice Ensemble Award earlier this year.
Wunmi Mosaku graduated from RADA in 2007. This is her second Film BAFTA nomination; she was nominated for Best Actress in 2021 for His House. She is known for her performances in Vera, Loki and Lovecraft Country, and won a TV BAFTA for her performance as Gloria Taylor in BBC drama Damilola, Our Loved Boy in 2017.
