The Golden Globe Awards took place in LA last night, and we're thrilled that Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Taron Egerton were both announced as winners.

Phoebe won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) for her lead role in Fleabag; the series, which she wrote based on her hit one-woman play, also won Best Television Series (Musical or Comedy). This follows its previous success at the Emmys, BAFTAs and Royal Television Society Awards.

Taron was awarded Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for playing Elton John in Rocketman, following his Hollywood Film Award for the same role last month.

Phoebe and Taron are both nominated at the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards, which take place on 19 January.

Also nominated at the Golden Globes this year were graduates Anthony Hopkins, Jonathan Pryce, Cynthia Erivo and Tobias Menzies. See the full list of winners here.
