The Docks by Robin Morrissey
The year is 1860. The tide of progress marches on. Steam ships are replacing sail ships, and with Liverpool at the heart of Britain’s trade, it is a time of great change and upheaval for this proud working class city and its inhabitants.
The Docks follows the Dickson family as they struggle to make sense of these changes. As loyalties give way to stubbornness and lifelong ambitions become obsolete, can they find a way to steer themselves through the eye of the storm?
