‘How did you come here?’ ‘I followed my thoughts’
In a world fraught with sexual desire and repression we find out how dangerous ignorance can be. With parents prudishly refusing information to their children, we see the cause and effect of a strict close-minded community, where chastity is prized above humanity.
The award winning musical was written by Duncan Sheik and lyrics by Steven Sater based on the play Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind that has shocked and moved audiences with its powerful message for over 100 years.
