We’re in New York City. It’s the day after an office party. What could possibly go wrong?
Ambitious twentysomethings are working as editorial assistants, scrambling to become editors and sign a book deal before 30. The assistants compete in a toxic, exploitative workplace not unusual in today’s contemporary capitalist world. When the unexpected happens, would you do anything to get your name in print?
Gloria, written by contemporary playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, is a provocative tragicomedy that was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama in 2016.
