Transformations by New Public
New Public presents three exciting and boundary-pushing works which are currently in development, all based on the theme of transformations.
A transformative journey using an immersive sound environment enabling the audience to experience a sense of ritual. In the 21st century, our practice of ritual is changing, but what of our mental, emotional and spiritual well being? What effect has this change had? What is the communal identity of our times and what kind of experiences do we still share? For this theatrical ritualistic exploration New Public will be using a 360 degree 3D sound system designed by Kings College London.
A one-man piece of comic horror inspired by true events, The Blood explores the manipulative power of storytelling, blurring the boundaries between performer and character, fact and fiction, and the witnessed and the imagined.
A dialogue between performer and instrument, the artists explore their relationship through musical provocation and transformation. Intending to redefine the purpose of their instruments Jo Moss and Olivier Van Den Hende collide worlds.
