Stephen Sondheim’s ground-breaking musical Company takes a brilliant and witty look at the joys and tribulations of married life and coupledom, through the eyes of Bobbie – still single at 35! Bobbie’s committed friends – Joanne and Larry, Susan and Peter, Jamie and Paul, Sarah and Harry, Jenny and David - and multiple girlfriends, celebrate and encourage Bobbie to couple up for good. After spending time with each pair, and meeting up with Marta, Kathy and April, Bobbie tries to decide whether marital bliss is in her future.

Company’s debut cemented it as a breakthrough musical being nominated for 14 Tony Awards which was record-breaking at the time. Created by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth, this darkly comic musical astutely examines themes of monogamy, commitment and love.

Stephen Sondheim was a multi-award-winning composer and lyricist with major successes. He is an Honorary Fellow of RADA, which he accepted in a special ceremony in New York in 2019. Previous works of his including Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, A Little Night Music and Assassins have all been performed at RADA in recent years.

George Furth was an actor, author and playwright who collaborated with Sondheim on multiple productions including Company and Merrily We Roll Along.
