RADA's Elders Company
RADA has a resident theatre company for people over the age of 60. The Elders Company meets weekly for a year (January - December) during term time. The Company gains various workshops from RADA Tutors, developing dramatic skills and abilities. They also work with a comissioned writer and stage a production in one of RADA's theatres in December.
The Elders Company is not for professional actors. It is a community initiative designed for people who are interested in developing drama skills in their retirement.
Auditions are held annually, and actors commit to a regular rehearsal slot and an annual production.
We also offer monthly one-off workshops for those who want to gain a sense of what the programme is about or cannot commit to our main Company. Each workshop is based on a different topic from singing to Shakespeare.
This initiative is kindly supported by ICAP.
