This course is an exploratory approach to experimental costume design for performance, with focus on the relationship between the costume and the body; and the design methods and contextualisation applied in the design process.
The course will encourage the participants to develop their skills and approach to designing, producing a body of work (series of drawings and mood boards) based on a series of given tasks.
This course is led by a renowned designer and RADA graduate who has specialised in this fascinating area.
Students below the age of 17 are not normally accepted. Entrance is by written application. There is no upper age limit.
HOURS OF WORK (ALL COURSES)
Classes generally take place between 10:00am and 5:00pm, from Monday to Friday. Seminars/ classes are not optional. Students are expected to behave in a professional manner. Punctuality is essential; records are kept of class attendance and are taken into account when the RADA certificate is issued at the end of the course.
