Davy came to London to go to college and quickly realised over four years that he had made a mistake in the choice of course. After graduating with a gentleman’s Honours degree in Business Studies he decided to go in a different direction and do something he had an interest in. Starting at the bottom he worked in as many areas of theatre that the National Theatre would let him, culminating in the props department. The props trainee scheme was just what he was looking for.
After the completion of the training he joined Deryk Cropper, who he had previously worked with at the National Theatre, in the props department at RADA. Since then he has worked on many shows, films, and operas, the best known being perhaps the chandelier on The Phantom of the Opera and on many productions of Les Misérables.
