Improvisation can take on many forms: quick-fire games; comedy sketches; intimate relationship exercises; longer dramatic scenes and stories. This workshop explores a variety of ways that improvisation can be used. The main concern is that actors remain open, creative, responsive and truthful. These are the skills that we will be developing during this workshop – and hopefully we will have some fun and make some discoveries along the way.
Andrew Tidmarsh runs the Foundation Course at RADA. He is a writer, director and award winning film-maker. His book An Attitude for Acting is published by Nick Hern Books.
