RADA and Young People

YOUTH COMPANY

The Youth Company (formerly known as the Youth Group) provides access to drama training and performance opportunities for young people aged 16-20 who live in and around London. The Youth Company members meet on a weekly basis (Saturday) but are required to make an annual commitment.

The annual fee is £170 which can be paid either termly or annually. The course is run over three 12 week terms. Workshop auditions are held each year (in September) for new members.

Applications for the youth company for 2012/2013 are now open.

To apply please download the application form and return to Joan Oliver, Education and Outreach Manager.

SATURDAY WORKSHOPS

These workshops are designed for young people aged between 16 and 24. RADA tutors, graduates and guest directors lead these popular full day acting workshops, which help participants acquire a diverse range of acting skills.

Visit our workshops page for a full list of workshops.

SPECIAL SATURDAY WORKSHOPS

RADA runs intensive workshops that happen over four consecutive Saturdays. Although following a format similar to the usual Saturday workshops, of focusing on specific areas of drama training, these special workshops give the participants the opportunity to explore each subject in much more detail.

Please check back for updates on these workshops.

CAMDEN SUMMER UNIVERSITY

Thanks to the support of the Richard Reeves Foundation, RADA hosted the second Camden Summer University (CSU) drama project in August 2010.  We are looking forward to delivering our third CSU this summer.

The project is in partnership with Camden Council and is free to participants. It gives young people living in and around the borough the opportunity to experience an intensive week of training similar to that undertaken by RADA’s core course students.

For more information about how to participate in Camden Summer University at RADA contact www.camden.gov.uk/summeruniversity.
