Duration: one week
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm
Fees: £495

COURSE DETAILS

This week long course gives students the opportunity to make a corset chosen from four different periods (Tudor, 18th century, 1860s- 70s, Edwardian) using given pattern blocks.

The student will be instructed in how to make the corset using traditional methods with steel boning and a choice of Coutil fabrics.

The wardrobe department is equipped with both domestic and industrial sewing machines.

Small classes ensure plenty of one-to-one teaching. The course is aimed at those who want to expand their knowledge and skills within this area.

Students should be able to sew to a good standard and be able to use a sewing machine competently.

Students below the age of 17 are not normally accepted. Entrance is by written application. There is no upper age limit.
